Hello Dify Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to suggest a new feature that I believe would significantly enhance the user experience with your project, particularly for those working with multimodal models that require specific pixel dimensions.
Suggestion: Image Resolution Handling Option
Currently, many multimodal models have constraints regarding the acceptable range of pixel resolutions for the images they process. To accommodate these models and streamline the workflow for users, it would be beneficial to introduce an image resolution handling feature within the Dify project.
Proposed Feature Details:
Dynamic Resolution Adjustment: Allow users to specify a desired resolution for images upon upload. The system would then automatically resize images to the specified dimensions.
Predefined Resolution Options: Offer a set of common resolutions that are compatible with various multimodal models. This would provide a quick selection process for users who are aware of the requirements of their models.
Batch Processing: Enable users to apply resolution adjustments to multiple images at once, improving efficiency for those managing large datasets.
Non-Destructive Editing: Ensure that the original images are preserved, and the resized versions are saved as new files. This maintains the integrity of the original data.
User Interface: Integrate this feature into the existing user interface in a way that is intuitive and user-friendly.
Documentation: Update the documentation to include instructions on how to use the new feature, including any best practices for selecting resolutions based on model requirements.
Feedback Mechanism: Provide a way for users to report issues or make further suggestions regarding the resolution handling feature.
I believe that by implementing this feature, Dify will become an even more powerful and versatile tool for researchers and developers working with multimodal data.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. I am excited about the potential of Dify and look forward to any updates that may come.
Best regards,
